1. Mr. Arable was going to "do away with" the runt pig. What does "do away with" mean?
2. How did Fern stop her father from killing the baby pig?
3. Fern saw no difference in killing a little girl or a runt pig. She called this an injustice. Do you think this was an injustice (a wrong)? Why or why not?
4.Why do you think Mr. Arable finally gave Fern the runt pig?
5. Wilbur was an unusual pet--not like a cat, dog, or hamster. What are the advantages (good things) of having a pet like Wilbur? disadvantages (bad things)?
Think about: What will happen when Wilbur grows up?

i love it this is very good story and i liked the chapter # 1.i liked the picture of fern and wilbur sucking the bib.this story seems very nice and of love and friendship.I have read this story in second grade but i will enjoy reading it again.i hope you enjoy reading it, like i did in second grade.hahaha!! i liked the game too especially the one of templetons trashy poem.
